Text Editing Principles

Editing Principles For Manuscripts Published on the Omnis Access Platform

Formatting and Editing Guidelines Manuscripts must be submitted in a uniform and easily processable format. Please avoid using built-in styles of the word processor and apply simple formatting.

1. Basic Formatting Rules

Normal text: Default font size and type (e.g., Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing). If the text contains many special characters, do not change the font, or ensure the new font displays the characters correctly.

Emphasis: Bold or italic text can be used, but avoid underlining.

Titles: Do not use all-uppercase titles.

Numbering should follow the system: 1., 1.1., 1.1.1.

Titles should be bold and centered.

Leave one blank line above and below titles.

2. References and Citations

Quotes should be marked either in italics or enclosed in quotation marks.

References must follow the system preferred by Omnis Access (e.g., APA, Harvard).

The bibliography should be listed at the end of the manuscript.

Footnotes and endnotes: For epub format, footnotes also appear at the end of the publication; please take this into account.

3. Figures, Tables, and Other Visual Elements

Insert figures and tables in a way that they appear properly in online format.

If the manuscript includes images, please attach them separately as high-resolution PNG or JPEG files.

4. Submitting Manuscripts

Accepted formats: DOC, DOCX, ODT (Word or LibreOffice formats).

Please also send the manuscript in PDF format to verify formatting.

Submit manuscripts as a single file; avoid splitting them into chapter-specific files if possible.

5. Open Access Publishing Options

Digital open access publication: By default, all publications are available online with open access on the Omnis Access platform.

Printed edition: Upon special request, a limited number of printed copies can be produced.

6. Digital Supplementary Materials

If supplementary materials (e.g., article recommendations, review questions, resources) accompany the manuscript, please list them separately.

Digital supplements should be included at the end of the manuscript in a separate section.
